Milwaukee County Continuous Improvement

Welcome to the Milwaukee County Continuous Improvement (MiCCI) page!

Milwaukee County started to implement CI principles in 2014. MiCCI is an ongoing program that seeks to eliminate waste in our day-to-day operations in order to provide maximum value to our customers and most efficiently utilize taxpayer resources.

MiCCI includes a Steering Committee, which seeks ideas for projects and evaluates them based on the impact they’ll have on improving our operations. The County’s MiCCI Steering Committee members are:

  • Steve Kreklow, Budget Director
  • Julie Esch, Director of Operations for the Department of Administrative Services
  • Roberta Drews, Director of Strategic Planning in the Office of the County Executive
  • John Dargle, Parks Director
  • Kerry Mitchell, Human Resources Director
  • Brian Dranzik, Director of the Department of Transportation
  • Mike Hafeman, Superintendent of the House of Correction
  • Jim Sullivan, Director of Child Support Services
  • Jeanne Dorff, Deputy Director of the Department of Health and Human Services

The MiCCI program also includes a group facilitators who will help project teams map out process steps, identify waste, and develop ideas for improvement.

The Steering Committee has developed a mission statement for the MiCCI effort as a whole, which is:
